Roderick Phifer is a Charlotte native who’s passion and skill in performance, choreography, and dance education. His background ranges from commercial and concert dance, which heavily influences his personal style. Roderick received early training from Dance Productions, and the North Carolina Dance Theatre. He later earned his BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia; shortly after he began his professional career with the contemporary company BalletX where he was a company artist and soloist for 5 seasons. Roderick has had the opportunity of creating, and performing on an international scale and continues to expand and explore through this artistic element while sharing within his community. He is currently affiliated with Big Kids Dance Company, Chocolate Ballerina Dance Company, Chester Valley Dance Academy, Balance Dance Center, Waheed Works, and Make Space Artists Collective.
