Lauren Leader ’16 participated in Nickerson-Rossi Dance’s Choreographic Residency Program and studied with Stephen Agisilaou. She spent a week taking his classes and rehearsing a piece that was performed in the program’s final showcase this past weekend at the Knauer Theater in West Chester, PA. In discussing her experience she said, “It was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had with a workshop. He shared so much of his knowledge and advice with us that I walked away with valuable information.” Lauren enjoyed learning his choreography which she describes as “fun fluidity mixed with strong accents”.
Lauren currently studies at Point Park University. Reflecting on her first year at Point Park, she greatly enjoyed working with Colleen Hooper and performed in her piece, “The Beast”, a post-apocalyptic piece that incorporated stilts. This upcoming year, Lauren will continue studying dance with a concentration in Jazz as well as Sports Art and Entertainment Management.
