As we begin a new year of dance at Chester Valley Dance Academy, we welcome back many students who spent time over the summer training at prestigious institutions. Chester Valley Dance Academy is proud to offer students with not only quality dance training at the studio, but also the opportunity to travel and participate in summer dance intensives across the country. The studio provides information on national and local intensives dancers can participate in to further enhance their training. 

These intensives, whether near or far, have become a vital part of our dancers' growth. They allow our students to delve into diverse dance styles and gain insights from accomplished industry professionals. For those who prefer to stay close to home, our annual Summer Dance Intensive provides an equally enriching experience, right here at CVDA. The satisfaction our dancers gain from honing their skills under the guidance of industry professionals in their familiar studio environment is immeasurable.

Chester Valley Dance Academy remains committed to offering not only top-notch dance training within our studio's welcoming walls but also the opportunity for our dancers to spread their wings at renowned summer dance intensives. Our students attended overnight programs at the Philadelphia Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Broadway Dance Center, Oklahoma City Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, the Rock School of Dance in Philadelphia and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

Chester Valley Dance Academy runs an annual Summer Dance Intensive for students in grades 4 through 12 for a week-long dance intensive experience at home with an impressive faculty roster. This year, our intensive featured brand new teachers, styles of dance, and workshops. Being able to train from professionals working in dance across the country at their home studios gives dancers an additional sense of confidence in the classroom while being immersed in an intensive program. 

Emma, a Junior at CVDA, loved the newly added Pom/Acro class taught by Philadelphia Flyers Cheerleader Paige DeAngelo noting, “She had an amazing presence and was really good at teaching us through the movements and choreography”. 6th Grader Lauren loved taking Jazz from Roderick Phifier sharing, “He had great energy and made you feel comfortable and have confidence to do his class.” During their time at the summer dance intensive, students cherished every moment, not only for the valuable classes they attended but also for the special moments they shared with their peers. As one student fondly recalls, “I enjoyed hanging out with my friends between our classes, and when we would record the dances we had learned together.” 

As we eagerly look ahead to another year of dance, we carry with us the memories of a fulfilling summer filled with dance, friendship, and growth. We are excited to see our students continue to shine, both on the studio floor and in their cherished moments with friends. Together, we dance forward into a new chapter, ready to embrace the year ahead.
