A look back at an unforgettable year of growth, performance, and community.
As we end another incredible season of dance, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the artistry, growth, and dedication of our CVDA Company dancers. This talented group of young artists has spent the year training, rehearsing, and performing across the region.
What is the CVDA Company?
The CVDA Company is made up of advanced and committed dancers who represent our studio through performances, competitions, and community events. These dancers take additional weekly technique classes, attend weekend rehearsals, and dedicate countless hours to refining their craft. Their passion for dance and support for one another make them true leaders in our studio community.
A Season Full of Performances
From the first rehearsal to the final bow, the 2024–2025 season has been packed with exciting opportunities for our Company dancers to grow and shine:
Fall Dance Festival at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
Our season began with a special performance at the Fall Dance Festival hosted by the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. Company dancers debuted their first pieces of the year in front of a local audience, setting the tone for the season and reconnecting after summer break.
ELEVATE Dance Competition
In the spring, the Company competed at the ELEVATE Dance Competition, where they received high scores, special awards, and valuable feedback. More importantly, they demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and the joy of performing with heart. CVDA was proud to be named the Highest Scoring Studio and to have three dances nominated for the ELEVATE Legends Club.
Community Outreach Performances
Giving back is a core value of the CVDA Company. This year, dancers performed at local events and care facilities, including the Historic Yellow Springs Holiday Stroll and a special appearance for residents at Eagleview Landing.
Throughout the year, Company dancers also raised funds and performed for two important causes:
- In the fall, they participated in Dance for HER, a benefit concert supporting Unite for HER, a West Chester-based nonprofit that provides integrative therapies and support services to individuals battling breast and ovarian cancers.
- In the spring, they contributed to DelAWAREness, a dance showcase that raises funds for Autism Delaware.
The Grand Finale: The Company Show
Our season concludes with the Company Show, a celebration of everything these dancers have accomplished. Each piece reflects their growth, connection, and commitment. For our graduating seniors, it’s a heartfelt farewell and a final chance to take the stage as CVDA Company members.
From all of us at Chester Valley Dance Academy, thank you to our Company dancers, teachers, and families for a season filled with artistry, growth, and joy. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
