We're carrying the enchantment of the 2023 Nutcracker performance into the New Year with heartfelt gratitude! A massive thank you to our dedicated dancers, faculty, staff, and volunteers for pouring their passion into this Nutcracker season and performance weekend. The magic unfolded across four spectacular shows in December, captivating the hearts of our wonderful audiences. To all our cherished family, friends, and CVDA Alumni in attendance, we extend our deepest appreciation for your unwavering support.
Senior parent, Emily Marchesani, beautifully encapsulates the essence of CVDA's Nutcracker, stating, "CVDA’s Nutcracker means family. It is a time during the busy holiday season that our family can come together to watch Mia perform. We enjoy the peaceful pause from the chaos of the season." Such sentiments echo through many CVDA parents, like those of Senior Alexi Tantaros, who express how The Nutcracker has evolved from a distant concept to a cherished tradition. "Prior to Alexi joining CVDA, The Nutcracker was something we knew existed in the world, but never actually witnessed. Now it’s a tradition that we will continue after Alexi graduates. It’s been really fun to watch all the girls grow into different roles throughout the years. The Nutcracker experience has created lifelong memories for both Alexi and her parents. Although she is graduating this year, we will continue the tradition of watching the CVDA Nutcracker!"
As we bid farewell to one of the largest senior classes to grace The Nutcracker stage, a bittersweet note lingers. The entire cast and crew will undoubtedly miss their presence next year, but the magic and memories created will resonate for years to come. Here's to the enduring legacy of CVDA's Nutcracker and the wonderful community that brings it to life!
