Our Company dancers perform at community events and competitions throughout the region and receive focused training in a variety of styles. These Company Groups perform multiple times a year and often require additional rehearsal time outside of their weekly classes.

All current and new dancers are required to attend Summer Dance classes if they want to participate in the 2026-27 season.  During these classes you will be observed to see if you qualify for any of the Company groups. In August, you will be given your recommendations.

Interested in joining the Company?

New Students interested in joining our CVDA Company for the 2026–2027 season must complete the 2026-27 Company Interest Form and take specific classes over the summer session for evaluation. Please see the classes students should enroll in based on the company group they are interested in below:

• Company Hip Hop: Monday 5:15-6:15 Hip Hop 12 & Up/Dance Team
• Company Modern: Monday 7:45-8:45 Company Modern I
• Company Jazz: Tuesday 7:00-8:00 Company Jazz I/Tangerine Jazz
• Company Ensemble: Thursday 5:30-6:30 Company Ensemble & Garnet Jazz
• Company Ballet: Dancers will be evaluated in their leveled ballet class over the summer

Current Company Students will be evaluated separately. More information will be shared via email.

We invite dancers ages 10 and up who are committed to training multiple days per week, love performing, and want to deepen their dance experience to join the company. The CVDA Company is a select group of dancers of who are invited to participate. It is important to note that participation in this program is by invitation only, and we do not take everyone who shows interest. There are limited slots available, so we encourage you to have an open conversation with your dancer about this opportunity.

Please review the Company Commitment with your dancer and note that all Company dancers must take Ballet in the 2026-27 school year.

Hip Hop Dance Team

Chester Valley Dance Academy also has Hip Hop Dance Teams for ages 8-12 and 13+ that run during the school year. This special class allows dancers to perform at a spring competition and has less of a commitment than the Company, outside the regularly scheduled weekly class. To be eligible, dancers must take at least one additional technique class (hip-hop or jazz) alongside the Dance Team class during the 2026-27 year. This well-rounded training ensures dancers build the skills they need to shine on stage! Students interested need only sign up for the Hip Hop Dance Team class alongside their technique class of choice. This program is an exciting alternative to the Company for students who love to dance and may have additional activity commitments outside of dance.
